Today we spent the day "down on the farm" at Nonni's house. Nonni was so thoughtful and had everything all set up for us to have a wonderful day, which we did! The girls had sooooo much fun coloring their cups, eating cherries fresh from the tree, riding around in the john deere, collecting peacock feathers, splashing in the pool, running in the octopus sprinker, snacking, exploring, and relaxing with Nonni, Papa John (Marie's dad), and 3 little neighbor girls. I enjoyed spending time at the farm growing up- having our baby goats there, picking plums, cherries, and blackberries, playing in the forest, and many other things- so, it is special to watch my girls enjoy time there and make fun memories with Marie (Nonni) too.
Finley developed quite an attachment to Papa John- she wanted to sit with him, hold his hand, follow him wherever he went, and got very upset when he had to leave. It was so cute to watch. Papa John is an amazing man... he is loving, caring, always makes you feel comfortable and at ease...what is not to love?!
We all had a great time- it was the perfect way to spend a hot summer day!
