After we dropped Paul off at the airport to head home, we decided to check out the Eugene Pro-Rodeo going on in town. It was the last night- the Firecracker Bull Ride. The evening started with motorcycle jumping, which was actually pretty amazing. They were doing flips and CRAZY stuff in the air. The girls loved it!
As cool as the motorcycle jumping was, Avery loved the bull riding even more. She was in 7th heaven seeing all the horses "cows," and real live cowboys. It was quite the spectacle. The bull rides only last 8 seconds at the most (I think only 3 of 40 that night went a full 8 seconds), so the turn over was extremely quick. Avery kept wanting more "cows" to come out. She wouldn't let us leave until she was sure they were all done. We ended up staying until 9:00 p.m. or so- before the last round and fireworks, but Avery didn't know that. We were all tuckered out.
It is not something we get to do on a regular basis, but it was a fun experience. We all had a good time. Just giving the girls a taste of the country life!
