We had Emerson's one month check today. The first thing the doctor asked was, "Is she in the rashy, gassy, fussy stage?!" To which I said, "How did you guess?" Apparently many/most babies go through a period of time when they are around the 1 month mark. FUN!Emerson has grown 2- 3 inches (based on whose birth measurements you use) and is now in the 50th percentile for height. She has well surpassed her birth weight at this point by gaining 3+ lbs in the past month. She was 7 lbs. 5 oz at birth, 6 lbs. 9 oz. at her 1 week check, and 9 lbs. 10 oz. today! That is in the 74th percentile! I thought that was the biggest percentile number my girls have ever had, but looking back at the same time frame with Finley she was in the 80th percentile (10 lbs. 7 oz.) at her one month check. Avery's records from her first years are packed away, so I couldn't compare to her as well, but I am pretty sure it must be a trend. From here, they all just start dropping off the charts and stay there. We will see!
One month stats:
9 lbs. 10 oz. (74th percentile)
21 inches long (50th percentile)
I am so grateful Emerson is healthy and growing! She may be rashy, gassy, and SUPER fussy, but it is just a stage, so it will pass... thank heavens!
