i'm a SUCKER for you

For Avery's valentine exchange today (Thursday is the last day of her preschool week) we decided to make oreo cookie "suckers." After searching through all the adorable valentine's inspiration out there, I found this idea HERE. I do love all the fun ideas people share on the internet! Avery and I had fun making them- she especially enjoyed decorating the "suckers" with generous amounts of sprinkles!

I do have to admit that getting the lollipop stick into the middle of the oreo cookie without breaking the cookie was kind of a pain (I would use double stuffed oreos if I were to do it again). Other than that, they were pretty easy and turned out well (for the most part- we had a few cookie casualties and a few more chocolate drips and dribbles). They tasted good too! Really, how can you go wrong with oreo cookies dipped in white chocolate?!

Love it!

Jess taught me how to make those suckers a while ago and I do agree they are yummmy!

I bet Avery was so excited to pass out her Valentines at school!

So cute. What a great idea for the valentine's tag. That really goes above and beyond the typical box of candy hearts.

This was a big hit at our house...Charlie started licking it like it was a sucker. I told him to bite into it, and he was so impressed that it was actually an oreo. (He loves oreos). You so remind me of me about 6 years ago...I used to do cute things like that too...makes me kind of sad that I don't anymore.

p.s. I made more toffee bars yesterday...I think we should rename them, "Hate yourself in the morning bars" :)

That was Garen's favorite Valentine he got. He said they were "YUMMY!" What a great idea.
