It was a pretty special day for Paul too... he was in the first class of Tiny Tigers and then was also a teacher in the program (the high school students in the child development class are the Tiny Tigers teachers). As far as we know, Avery is the first of the 2nd generation to attend... she is legacy (according to Paul). Mrs. Waterbury says it has all come full circle now, so she can finally retire?! We hope not... we are just getting started! 
The exchange this morning was so quick- the teachers came and got Avery out of the car and whisked her away before I knew what was happening! It was probably better that way- I didn't have time to get all emotional and Avery didn't have a chance to get clingy. Just like that, my baby was off! And, she did GREAT! Mrs. Waterbury said they would give her a few days to get into the swing of things and let her join the group activities as she got comfortable, but when we picked her up they said she jumped right in! Such a big girl!
So, now, I will have a couple hours a day a few days a week with just Finley! It is not much, but I will take it! I must say that grocery shopping and other errands with just one child will be heavenly!

oh it gets harder when they go off to 1st grade (all day long!) i can't wait to have summer so i have my kiddos at home, but not looking forward to doing shopping with all of them!
Oh, the photo with her little backpack...melted my heart and her bow in her hair. She looked like such a big girl!
